🔱 What is Narayan Nagbali Puja?
Narayan Nagbali Puja is actually a combination of two separate rituals: Narayan Bali and Nagbali.
Narayan Bali is performed for the peace of those souls who have died under unnatural circumstances such as accidents, suicide, or violence. Such souls remain bound in spirit form and have a negative impact on the family.
Whereas, Nagbali is performed to nullify the doshas (faults) arising from the accidental killing of a snake (Naag). In Hinduism, the Naag Devta is considered highly sacred, and this dosha brings serious obstacles in a person’s life.
Puja Procedure
This puja is performed at Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga (Nashik, Maharashtra), where its complete Vedic process is followed. On the first day of the puja, the devotee must bathe and wear clean clothes, and the take a sankalp (vow). Idols of a human and a snake are made from wheat flour and their rituals are performed using Vedic methods. After that, tarpan, shraddha, havan, and brahmin bhojan are conducted over a period of three day
